The floor sells all day. The cash still has to tie.
CEDX POS runs the register floor as one system: tickets and tenders, registers and their floats, shifts and their variances — with the slow tickets, the sync-lagged SKUs and the short drawers named instead of averaged away.
The cash-risk board does not say a drawer was short. It says which register, which shift, and by how much — $51.75 past the critical threshold — ranked against every other drawer on the floor.

What it is
Tickets, drawers, shifts — one ledger for the floor.
Every ticket, tendered and timed
320 tickets carry source, staff, status, tender, total, tip and elapsed minutes on the row. The honest failures sit in the same table: a voided split tender at $0, a refunded card ticket at -$961.20, and a card ticket held open for 31.9 minutes.
Sources: counter, voice-assist, online — 98 tickets by voice
Tenders: cash, card, wallet, gift, split
Open tickets carry their age in minutes

Registers know their float and expected cash
Fourteen registers across three locations, each with float, expected cash, sales and ticket count on the row. PDX-01 Front opened with a $200 float and took $4.8K across 64 tickets; three registers sit offline or in maintenance, called out rather than hidden.

Shifts close to a variance, not a shrug
96 shifts in the seed window: 24 still open with uncounted cash, 72 closed with float, expected, counted and variance on every row. The worst reads -$51.75; one reconciled clean at $0.50.
24 over/short flags at the ±$15 line
Variance signed per shift, never netted away

01 — Overview
The floor's day on six cards
Floor sales $99K across 320 tickets, average paid ticket $497.92, 73 open tickets of which 71 are slow past eight minutes, cash variance $975.70 across 24 flagged shifts, a $16K tip pool, and $625.16 of cash at risk in the scored queue. The chart remembers the day: a float audit on Monday, a card-terminal swap on Friday.
Floor health 40% — slow tickets and sync lag weigh on it
69 SKUs out of POS cache sync, as its own alert
02 — Tickets
320 tickets, and the slow ones are timed
The table filters to open, held, paid, voided or refunded, and by counter, voice-assist or online source. The slow tab holds 71 tickets past the eight-minute line, each aged in minutes on the row.
Tabs: all 320, open/held 73, paid 198, slow 71, void/refund

Filtered total $140K across 320 matching
03 — Registers
Fourteen drawers, three need attention
The register board is a location truth table: who is cashiering, what float they opened with, what the system expects, and which drawers are offline or in maintenance before the rush finds out.
Declared float, expected cash, sales and tickets per register
Three locations: Portland flagship, Austin store, Denver outlet
Offline and maintenance flagged on the card row
04 — Shifts
Ninety-six shifts, twenty-four flagged
Every shift closes expected-versus-counted. The variance column is signed — $14.38 over reads next to -$23.24 short — and 24 shifts crossed the ±$15 flag line into the variance queue.
Tabs: all 96, open 24, closed 72, variance flags 24
Abs variance $975.70 across closed shifts
One shift reconciled at $0.50 — clean is a state too
Who runs it
Three roles keep the floor honest.
Roles, not references. We have no named customers yet, so nobody in these photographs is quoted, credited or claimed as one.

Watches the slow-ticket count during the rush — 71 tickets past eight minutes is a staffing fact with a number on it, not a complaint.

The shape of it
What the demo floor actually looks like.
Every figure below is legible in the captures above. Nothing here is a projection of your estate — it is the state of the demo data.

How it runs
A shift's life, in the order it actually happens.
01
Open
A register starts its shift with a declared float — $200 on PDX-01 Front — and expected cash accrues with every ticket the drawer sees.
02
Sell
Tickets tender cash, card, wallet, gift or split from the counter, voice-assist or online — each with its tip and elapsed minutes on the row.
03
Watch
The Overview flags what the rush hides: tickets slow past eight minutes, SKUs out of cache sync, a terminal swapped mid-day annotated on the chart.
04
Close
The shift counts down, expected meets counted, and anything past the ±$15 line lands on the cash-risk board with the register named.
One record
The register is one channel of the same record.
The POS overview chart names Northline Outfitters — the same demo workspace the commerce consoles carry. The floor is not a side system with its own truth.
Finding this out on the third call is worse for you than reading it here, and worse for us.
POS is not generally available. What opens today is the live build running on demo data — Portland flagship, Austin store and Denver outlet are the demo seed's locations, not customers.
We have no named customers to show you, so this page shows none. The staff and ticket rows in the captures are the demo seed.
The figures — $99K floor sales, $975.70 variance, the $16K tip pool — describe the seed window. They are not throughput claims for your floor.
Voice-assist appears as a ticket source on 98 demo tickets. What that channel does in your estate is a pilot conversation, not a claim made on this page.
We make no payment-hardware or card-scheme certification claim here. What we can evidence about hosting, encryption and access is on the security page.
Yes. Every screenshot is a capture of the running build and you can open the same build at /app/pos. It runs on demo data, locations and all.
What is cash variance?
Counted cash versus expected at shift close. The demo window shows $975.70 of absolute variance across 24 flagged shifts, with the worst single drawer -$51.75 — named by register, not averaged into a percentage.
What happens when a register goes offline?
It shows. Offline and maintenance are first-class states on the register board — three of fourteen in the demo — with float and expected cash still on the row, so the exception is visible instead of silent.
What is a slow ticket?
An open ticket older than eight minutes. The demo floor had 71 of them, each aged in minutes on the row, which is how a rush becomes a staffing conversation instead of an anecdote.
Does POS track tips?
The tender row carries a tip column, and the Overview aggregates it — a $16K tip pool across card and cash tips in the seed view.
Is CEDX POS audited or certified?
No certification has been issued. What we can evidence about hosting, encryption, tenant isolation and production access is written up on the security page.
Fourteen registers. One number to tie.
Live build, demo data, no card. The cash-risk board is two clicks in.
