CEDX Inventory · Commerce & Retail

Stock is cash on a shelf.
This shows which shelves.

CEDX Inventory is the stock console: every SKU's on-hand, available, reorder point and days-to-stockout, across two DCs, stores, a 3PL node, a returns cage and a field-staging site — with the next stockouts dated and the idle cash named.

The velocity board does not say inventory is healthy. It says $1.31M of available cash sits in 125 winners while $1.16M idles across 87 losers. Two numbers, and the argument about what to buy next is over.

Runs on demo data. Northline DC East and the six sites are the software's demo network, not a customer.

What it is

A stock network, legible at three altitudes.

Six sites, one network value

The warehouse board scores every node — two DCs, a 3PL node, a fulfilment store, a returns cage and a field site — with SKUs, units, value, utilisation and a health ring per site. The returns cage is a first-class site holding $646K at 42% utilisation.

  • 36,654 units across 6 sites, $3.91M at cost
  • Health scores 61 to 82, utilisation 42% to 78%
  • Site types: DC, 3PL, store, returns

Every SKU carries its own countdown

The SKU table puts on-hand, available, reorder point, days-to-stockout, ABC class, velocity segment and status on one row. A mailer SKU shows 640 on hand but 600 available — 40 already reserved — with reorder at 80 and 50 days of cover.

  • Available nets reservations off on-hand
  • Segments: winner, chaser, loser — as filter chips
  • DTS per SKU, from 18 days to 446

Every unit in or out leaves a movement

380 movements in the window — 51 receipts, 66 issues, 48 transfers — typed as receipt, issue, transfer, adjustment, return or count. Adjustments are signed on the row: a -14 on a field injector kit reads exactly like what it was.

  • Six movement types, each a filter chip
  • From and to sites on every transfer
  • Adjustments signed and dated, never silent

01 — Overview

The stock brief: value, cover, and the clock

The cards read $3.91M on hand at cost, 108 SKUs low, critical or out, a 40-day median days-to-stockout, 86 SKUs at risk inside 14 days, and $2.22M of open POs across 64 inbound. The alerts are dated: one controller SKU stocks out in about 7.5 days — 24 available against 3.2 a day with 18 reserved — and a cable is out at DC-W with installs blocked at 6 a day.

  • Stock by status: 183 healthy, 54 low, 21 critical, 33 out, 29 overstock
  • Network health 73, turns proxy 2.5x, on the ring
  • Annotations like the DC-E cycle count sit on the chart

02 — Items / SKUs

320 SKUs, each with a reorder point and a clock

The full catalog view: category, site, on-hand, available, reorder, DTS, ABC class, segment and status, filterable to the healthy, the losers or the overstocked. An adapter with 446 days of cover sits one filter away from a cable at zero.

  • 320 rows, 108 of them low, critical or out
  • Winner, chaser and loser segments on the row
  • Overstock is a status, not a surprise

03 — Warehouses

The network as six scored nodes

Each site card carries its own health ring — 82 at the east DC down to 61 at the returns cage — with value, units and utilisation beneath. The 3PL node holds the most value, $917K, at 64% utilisation.

  • Average network health 72 of 100
  • Value per site from $432K to $917K
  • Returns cage tracked like every other node

04 — Movements

The ledger behind the numbers

Receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, returns and counts in one table — 380 rows in the window — with quantity, from, to and date on each. The stock figures upstream are only as good as this ledger, and it shows its work.

  • 51 receipts, 66 issues, 48 transfers in view
  • Search by movement number or SKU
  • Export the filtered view to CSV

Who runs it

Three roles keep the shelves honest.

Roles, not references. We have no named customers yet, so nobody in these photographs is quoted, credited or claimed as one.

Warehouse associate

Works from available, not on-hand: 600 of 640 on the mailer SKU, because 40 are already reserved to orders.

available ≠ on hand

Receiving

Closes the 64 inbound POs worth $2.22M and keeps an eye on the 3PL node running at 64% utilisation.

The shape of it

What the demo network actually looks like.

Every figure below is legible in the captures above. Nothing here is a projection of your estate — it is the state of the demo data.

How it runs

A unit's life, in the order it actually happens.

01

Receive

Inbound POs land as receipts — 51 in the window — against sites, and stock value accrues at cost the moment the dock signs.

02

Reserve

Available nets reservations off on-hand, so the pick face and the promise to the customer work from the same number.

03

Rebalance

Transfers move cover between DCs, stores and the 3PL node — 48 in the window — before a stockout clock somewhere runs out.

04

Count

Cycle counts and adjustments — signed, like the -14 — keep the ledger honest, which keeps the DTS figures worth trusting.

One record

The same sites and the same
numbers, across the estate.

Inventory and its siblings share the demo network — the same site codes and the same available figures appear in each console's captures.

Questions

Before you pilot Inventory.

Is the software on this page real?

Yes. Every screenshot is a capture of the running build and you can open the same build at /app/inventory. It runs on demo data, sites and all.

What is DTS?

Days to stockout — available divided by daily demand, computed per SKU and printed on the row. The Overview carries the median, 40 days in the demo, and the soonest stockouts get their own dated alerts.

What is the difference between on-hand and available?

On-hand is physical stock; available nets out what is already reserved. The demo's mailer SKU shows 640 on hand and 600 available, with the reorder point at 80 — the difference is the 40 units already promised.

What are velocity segments?

Every SKU is classed winner, chaser or loser by how its stock turns. The Overview prices the segments: $1.31M of available value sits in 125 winners while $1.16M idles across 87 losers — which is a purchasing conversation, not a chart.

Does it handle multiple sites and a 3PL?

The demo network is six nodes — two DCs, a 3PL node, a store, a returns cage and a field site — each with value, units, utilisation and a health score on one board.

Is CEDX Inventory audited or certified?

No certification has been issued. What we can evidence about hosting, encryption, tenant isolation and production access is written up on the security page.

The next stockout already has a date on it.

Live build, demo data, no card. The soonest-stockouts board is on the first screen.
